Tango Show with Ermis Karampoulas & Katerina Sakka

Ermis Karampoulas began his dance training at a young age and since then has experienced various styles of dance, while also studying music and martial arts.

He has been involved with Argentine tango since 2003 and in 2005 he visited Buenos Aires to take lessons with the most notable teachers and to become acquainted with Argentine culture. Throughout his professional career, he has collaborated with over 15 dance schools in the Greek community and has participated in the biggest tango festivals as a teacher and dancer.

He has also been invited to teach and perform shows in cities abroad (Amsterdam, Chicago, Iasi, Istanbul, Riga, The Hague, Lebanon, etc.) The Tango Project was created by Ermis Karampoulas in 2015. It is a structured learning program for Argentine tango, based on his personal teaching method. Its main feature is that students learn both roles that make up tango (leader and follower) equally, so that they can acquire a comprehensive understanding of this dance from the beginning.

Katerina Sakka was born in Athens in 1985. She began her musical studies at a very young age, studying both European and Greek traditional music. She trained in the Carl Orff music and movement method through seminars in Greece and Austria.

At 18 years old, she began to seriously study contemporary dance, improvisation, and Argentine tango, which she has been pursuing ever since. In 2011, she moved to Montpellier, France to study dance, and later spent two years at Jacques Lecoq’s school in Paris, studying movement and physical theater.

She has traveled throughout Europe, teaching and performing Argentine tango, collaborating with various dancers in Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Qatar, Norway, Switzerland, and Barcelona.

Together with Ermis, through their workshop classes, Katerina aims to promote a deeper understanding of music among students, creating the conditions for a rich dance interpretation, allowing everyone to showcase their unique personality through dance.
